A 10 minute VR biology lesson that teaches first year biology students about DNA structure.

Students typically learn from flat textbook diagrams, which makes it hard to grasp the actual 3D molecule.

I created a custom illustrated representation that visually connects the familiar 2D diagrams to the real three-dimensional structure, helping students make that leap.

This approach formed the foundation for the entire lesson, allowing students to explore advanced concepts about DNA in an intuitive, hands-on way.

Nucleotide Structure

Once comfortable with the 3D structure, students explored the intricate details of nucleotides with confidence.

This experience is now part of Tel Aviv University's biology curriculum, serving 500 students annually.

To accommodate varied users, we sample each player's height at the beginning and dynamically position text and interaction zones for comfortable use.

This initial interaction also serves as a tutorial for our main mechanic: grabbing objects with a pinch gesture and placing them in the correct position.
